Rumsey House is a gracious farm house with lodging situated in 2 acres of walnuts and fruit trees. We are located minutes from Cache Creek Casino, organic farms and riverside (Cache Creek) for swimming and kayaking. Berryessa-Snow Mountain Wilderness is just up the road, with hiking trails and hunting.Each beautifully-decorated room includes Craftsman-styled furniture. Large windows (some with window seats) overlook trees or hills. A garden cottage is also available.

Farm-to-fork breakfasts include dishes such as our own fruit and nuts, eggs from chickens or ducks raised on the property, seasonal herbs grown on site. When the weather is warm, breakfast can be served on our wraparound porch with hummingbirds flying nearby. Products for sale include walnuts, pecans, pine nuts, rose jam, eggs, herbal ointment, fruit in season (as available - ask your hostess).

A hot tub is available for guests and our dark skies provide wonderful views of constellations, the vast milky way and meteor showers. We have air conditioning, pillow-top beds and free wifi.

Camping Option
Reserve a quiet camp spot at Rumsey House. We now offer a campsite under tall trees. This site includes water, a fire pit, picnic tables, hot-tub use, free WIFI, cold-water shower and an indoor restroom. Fees: camping ($45), firewood ($6/bundle), breakfast for campers ($15/person). Rumsey House is located in the Capay Valley a half mile from Cache Creek (year-round river) where you will find river rafting camps, kayaking adventures and bald eagle nesting grounds. Our farm is 11 miles from Cache Creek Casino, one of the largest, most elegant casinos in California.

Capay Valley is a leading organic farm region with locally produced olive oil, wine, meats, oranges, nuts, vegetables. Each season has festivals, farm tours, and family events.
